Ed Sheeran Opens North American Loop Tour in Arizona, Heads to 22 Stadiums Through November

Ed Sheeran kicked off the North American leg of his Loop Tour on Saturday, June 13, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The 35‑year‑old singer‑songwriter mixed fresh cuts from his eighth studio album, Play, with fan‑favorites like “Bad Habits” and “Castle on the Hill,” keeping the crowd humming and dancing.

After a triumphant run in Australia, New Zealand and South America earlier this year, the tour will now take Sheeran to 22 stadiums across the United States and Canada. The first stop is Arizona, and the final show will close the leg on November 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The Arizona set list featured 28 songs. In addition to the Play tracks “Sapphire,” “Azizam,” “Old Phone,” and “Bad Habits,” the set rolled through earlier hits such as “The A Team,” “Lego House,” “Give Me Love,” “Galway Girl,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Perfect,” and “Shape of You.” The full list, as reported, was:

Play, released on September 12, 2025, is Ed Sheeran’s eighth studio album and the first in a planned series of releases titled after media‑control symbols. The album includes singles such as “Azizam,” “Old Phone,” and “Sapphire.” It was supported by a deluxe edition with 14 additional tracks released on November 28, 2025.

The Loop Tour itself began on January 16, 2026, in Auckland, New Zealand, and is scheduled to conclude on December 12, 2026, in Mexico City. The North American leg adds 22 dates to the overall itinerary, bringing the total number of shows to 188.

The tour’s schedule and set list reflect Sheeran’s strategy of combining new material with proven crowd‑pleasers, a formula that has helped him maintain high attendance figures in previous tours. The 22‑city run will see him perform to an estimated 8.8 million fans worldwide, according to the tour’s overall attendance record.

As the tour progresses, ticket holders and fans can expect the same high‑energy performances that have defined Sheeran’s recent tours, with a mix of acoustic intimacy and stadium‑scale spectacle.
